Hip-hop dancing is a fusion dance style with influences from older street dance styles developed in the 1970s. Breaking was produced in The Bronx, New York in the very early 1970s. In its earliest type, it began as elaborations on James Brown's "Excellent Foot" dancing which debuted in 1972.
